Thomas Preston serves as Senior Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at NAI Capital Finance. He leads a team of originators responsible for arranging debt and structured finance products for clients. Thomas Preston brings over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate banking.

Before joining NAI Capital Finance, Thomas held pivotal roles, including Wholesale Commercial Real Estate Originator at Bayview Asset Management, Vice President at HomeStreet Bank focusing on multifamily origination, and Vice President at Bank of the West / BNP Paribas Commercial Real Estate Finance. He has successfully arranged over $2 billion in debt and equity assignments across diverse asset classes. Thomas is recognized for his expertise in credit analysis and underwriting, specializing in securing credit facilities for developers, investors, closely held companies and institutions. His career also includes serving as a licensed financial advisor with Wells Fargo Private Client Group and Merrill Lynch Private Client, where he obtained Series 7, 66, and Life Insurance licensures. He provided strategic advice to high-net-worth individuals and companies on wealth accumulation and preservation strategies.

Living in Dana Point, Thomas enjoys an active lifestyle with his two children, engaging in surfing, boating, trail running, and spending quality time with his family. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, and has completed numerous Certified Financial Planner Courses at the University of California, Irvine.
